[Smells Like News] Carrie Underwood: Ready to Take 'Blown Away' On The Road

She's riding high as her fourth album 'Blown Away' is perched atop the Billboard charts, and now Carrie Underwood is readying to embark on the first dates of the disc's accompanying tour - which runs through the end of 2012.

The 29-year-old country cutie recently spoke with "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" about her new music and hitting the road, as she dished about her single “Forever Changed' by saying, “It’s set in another time. It’s another one that you can see this movie play out as you listen to the song. It’s definitely one…I’ve been talking about it so much, because I think it’s one of the best well written songs I’ve ever heard in my life. So I’m amazed that I got my hands on it, but I am worried that me talking about it as much as I have been…I don’t want it to be a single, because I can’t sing it! I can’t do it! I’ve never been able to listen to it or sing it and actually get through the whole thing.â€

Of her album as a whole, Miss Underwood explained, “There’s really no particular theme. A lot of the songs are very visual, but in different ways. It’s kind of a roller coaster, and I think I pushed things in a lot of different directions. We got a little bit darker, and a little bit lighter. I sing songs that are a little more traditional country than I’ve every done before. So…I’m a little schizo…when it comes to making an album. In a good way, because I think there's something for everyone.â€

As for her tour, the "American Idol" alumna will be making a stop at LSU Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on May 26th followed by two June shows in Tennessee before heading overseas for a single UK concert and a string of Australian appearances.

Giving herself a little over a month off to build up her energy, Carrie's main U.S. tour kicks off on September 14th in New Hampshire with the complete rundown of scheduled gigs running through December being as follows:
